Basil didn’t remember much after they threw him back in the brig. Only that he must have passed out from the pain and exhaustion. When he woke up the next morning, he was thankful to find that the pain in his arm had lessened from a sharp excruciating pain to a dull throb. The sight of the bloody “R” burned through his fur and into his skin still nauseated him, not only because of the wound itself, but also because of what it stood for. Branded; like livestock. Now, even if he did manage to escape, anyone who saw the mark would know who he belonged to.

Ugh, ok, I would have uploaded this A LOT sooner... if I had been saving it every so often like I should so that when GIMP decides to crap out on me, I won't lose ALL that work and have to start over...

Well, lesson learned.

Anyways, here's the next page. Haha ok, that's supposed to be a shadowy figure swooping in between Amber and Basil... but I couldn't get it to turn out quite right

I had to actually flip panel 3, the one of Amber falling to the ground saying "Ungh!" because I realized I drew her facing the wrong way. So... lots of difficulties with this one

And to clear things up in case anyone is confused:
Round bubbles= Speech
Square/rectangles with blurred edges+ italics= Thoughts or narration
