To keep myself from becoming discouraged, I kept one of Basil's famous sayings in mind: "There's always a chance, as long as one can think." So I racked my brain for a plan as I crawled about on my hands and knees cleaning up the champagne Ratigan's thugs had spilled all over the floor. However, an escape attempt would be impossible as well as foolish since the five guards present in the room watched my every move from their posts by each exit.

Dipping the rag into the bucket, I glanced up and noticed Ratigan also studying me, seeming lost in thought. Still wearing the violet robe, along with a golden crown encrusted with the finest jewels

I actually forgot about these sketches until the other day when ~Cellenia reminded me

And I have at 2, going on 3, more pages of sketches for this fic too!

These sketches are so old. This was back before I had my own style of drawing Ratigan, so that's why he looks kind of odd here

So... up in the top left corner we have Amber meeting Gerrit (from Ch. 8 [link] ) To the right is just a cute pic of Amber and Basil

(I referenced the pose from an ad in a magazine

) Top right is Basil carrying Amber as they're escaping Ratigan's castle (next chapter hopefully). Under that is from when Amber runs into Ali, who was mentioned in Ch. 9. Ali is very possessive of her master and will not let anyone separater her from him

To the left of that is just another pic of Ali. (_{her face didn't turn out quite right...}) Next is Ratigan escorting Amber to the ball (Ch. 9 [link]) I had to use a font to fill in what they were saying because my handwriting was so illegible

Under Ali and Amber we have Fane and Amber meeting for the first time (Ch. 7 [link] ).

Ok, the last two are the most important I think because they deal with future chapters. Gonna try not to give any clues away... _{but you might want to remember the girl in the gold dress for the future because she's very important to the story}

And I didn't feel like doing a background because I'm lazy

Oh, well...at least FANE is!

Ever since I broke up with my boyfriend, I haven't felt guilty about liking Fane.

Oh, Fane...the girl in the gold dress better not be important to you...or at least more important than ME! Nothing is more important than true love!

Fane: But, Lulu...

Me: Hush, my darling. I know how you feel.

Fane: Y-you do?

Me: Yes. I too crave the next chapter for Echoes in my Mind more than I want for school to end.

Fane: *facepalms*
